The vision of Tonziland is to spread light through music and solar energy. The goal of the project is to solarize a Solarpunk Village. A Solarpunk Village is a fusion of nature and technology to create a beacon of abundance.

Above is a drawing of a vision of a Solarpunk Village. This drawing is representative of the in-between fantasy and reality, keeping in mind, actual functioning living, as well as whimsical design in some places. We would like to shoot for an in-between manifestation of this vision, making this into a reality to enjoy life in.

Until a Solarpunk Village is manifested, we are filled with warmth to gift Solar Panels (and Solar Systems) to Solar Communities. A Solar community is any community that lifts humanity off the damages of The Oil Age. Any community that stands free from believing we are detached from nature. A community that actualizes self-sufficient integration with nature, and living in harmony.

I was very inspired by a writer, Connor Owens, who wrote a beautiful article on this subject. You can find his article here where a lot of the principles have been applied to the vision of this village. Another source where many ideas have been grown is from the Decentral community in Vancouver, you can find out more about them here https://decentralvancouver.com. A Solarpunk Village also follows some of the guiding principles of Solarpunk-Philosophy, Solution-Based-Thinking and Decentralization thinking.

 

Additional guiding principles are: 


Radical positivity, volunteerism, solidarity, “unity-in-diversity ... personal self-realization ... decentralized eco-cities ... communal caring; and driven by an overriding ethos of compassionate rationalism.”
